Youth Basketball Leagues
Our Youth Basketball League is created for boys and girls entering 1st-8th grades. This League is designed for participants to learn and utilize the fundamental skills of basketball in game situations. Each team will be led by a volunteer coach, who will provide instruction on basic basketball fundamentals while creating a fun and positive teaching environment. In addition to the focus on basketball skills development, our program offers children the opportunity to interact with both peers and coaches, learn good sportsmanship, and how to work as part of a team. Please bring a basketball to each practice. Each player will receive a jersey.
Please Note: Player requests (aside from siblings) will NOT be honored, in our efforts to keep teams random. Grades 1st-2nd and 3rd-4th will have no scorekeeping or playoffs. Grades 5th-6th and 7th-8th will keep score and will have playoffs. All grade levels will prioritize player/skill development over winning games in this league.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: November 6th (based on availability)- NO refunds will be given after the registration deadline.
A $15 late fee will be charged if registered after November 6th (based on availability).

Games will begin on Saturday, January 17. Game locations will vary and will be noted on the schedule that will be available after the first practice. Please note: No basketball practice will be held over the holiday break.
Team rosters, practice, and game schedules, along with rules for the league will be available to the Head Coach and will be distributed at the Coach’s Meeting on Monday, November 17, at 6:30 pm at the Founders Community Center.

Location: Founders Center, Grand Prairie & Chelsea Intermediate
Days: Practices Tuesday or Thursday & Saturday Games
Dates: December 2 – March 7 (Games will begin January 17)
Playoffs for 5th-8th grades will take place on Saturday, March 14
Time: Practice Times between 5 – 8 pm
(1 hour per week, based on facility availability & # of teams)
Games: Your child will play 1 game on Saturday, scheduled between 9 am – 6 pm
(based on # of teams)
Fee: 1st – 4th Grade: $150/NR $155
5th – 8th Grade: $160/NR $165
*A late fee of $15 will be added if registered after the registration deadline of November 6th

Team Sideline
The Frankfort Park District is using TeamSideline to manage the Youth Basketball League teams this season. This means each Frankfort Park District Youth Basketball League team has its own TeamSideline Team Site – and each Team Site will include the Coach’s information and roster of players. Dates, times, and locations for practices and scrimmages are also added as soon as they are available to be published. Please be sure to add no-reply@teamsideline.com to your approved senders list on your email to avoid communication issues.

Volunteer Coaches
Volunteer parent coaches are required to ensure the successful operation of this program. If interested in volunteering, please fill out the volunteer coach registration online at www.teamsideline.com/sites/frankfort/home.
There will be a coaches meeting on Monday, November 17th at the Founders Community Center at 6:30 pm.

FOR PARTICIPANTS, PARENTS, GUARDIANS AND SPECTATORS
Participants/parents/guardians/spectators shall exhibit appropriate behavior at all times. The Frankfort Park District developed the following guidelines to help make programs safe and enjoyable for all participants. The Park District may develop additional rules for particular programs and athletic leagues as deemed necessary by staff.
