Preschool Teacher

The Frankfort Park District is seeking a preschool teacher starting in the fall of 2022 for our 2-day/week 3-year old program or our 5-day/week 4-year old program. Applicants must be hard working, possess experience working with young children and planning children’s programs. This position will be team teaching with another teacher and be responsible for implementing the current preschool curriculum, help create lesson plans, assist in providing a stimulating early childhood environment, and help organize special programs. Dance Coordinator/Instructor (Part-Time)

The Frankfort Park District runs an exciting and popular dance program that runs September to May with Summer classes. We have an opening for a part-time Dance Coordinator/Instructor to oversee all areas of the dance program. This includes but not limited to: supervising dance instructors, choreographing dance routines, holding auditions, ordering of dance costumes, scheduling and organizing competitions, attending competitions, planning the Spring dance recital and other duties as needed.

Hiring Start Date: August 1 – Meetings & Program Set-up.  September 19 – Classes Start.

Scheduling: Monday – Thursday: Late Afternoon – Evening
Saturday: Morning
Dance performance opportunities at various events throughout the year (Community Showcase, Illinois State Fair, Fall Fest Parade, etc.)

The best candidates will have prior experience in all genres of Dance. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in organizing and planning dance recitals and competitions. The candidate will be motivated, energetic, have a strong professional background in their artistic discipline, experience teaching children ages 2 – 18 and experience in rehearsing and directing performances. Must be able to communicate well with parents. Prior teaching experience is preferred.

Splash Park Concession Stand Attendant

The Frankfort Park District is currently accepting applications for part-time Splash Park concession stand attendants.  Must be 18 years of age or older. Hours of operation will vary depending on weather, but will include Monday – Friday from 9:45 am – 4:15 pm and Saturday – Sunday from 9:45 am – 3:15 pm with a possibility of working a Splash Park rental from 4:15 – 6:45 pm Monday – Friday or 3:15 – 5:45 pm Saturday – Sunday. The individual must have some knowledge and a willingness to learn food prep, sanitation and hygiene, and the ability to accurately handle money. Successful candidates must have excellent customer service skills, including professional appearance, be able to effectively meet and deal with the public, must be able to make quick accurate arithmetic computations, have good communication skills. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, able to handle multiple orders and duties at one time and stay even tempered.

Summer Day Camp Counselors/Program Coordinator

The Frankfort Park District is accepting applications for Summer Camp Counselor. The Summer Camp Counselor is responsible for supervising children and participating in the organization, development, and direction of a well-rounded summer day camp program.

The Summer Camp Counselor is a seasonal, part-time position in which the total amount hours offered is based on the total amount of campers registered in each session. A counselor’s scheduled hours may vary.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 18 years & older (May be hired at 16 or 17, if candidate has experience.)
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification or ability to obtain within three months of employment.
  • Experience with children in an organized setting preferred.
  • Must be a creative and enthusiastic individual.
  • Ability to relate well with and be able to lead children in a variety of games and activities.
  • Ability to work within a team structure.

Seasonal Park Maintenance Position

The Frankfort Park District is currently accepting applications for Seasonal Park Maintenance Workers. Hours are, 7:00 am-3:30 pm, days can vary and can include weekend or occasional evening hours for events. Positions requires physical labor and work is primarily done outdoors. Position is responsible for general park and facility maintenance includes but not limited to weeding, weed whipping, maintains outdoor grounds and bathroom facilities. Must be willing to work in various weather conditions and able to do heavy lifting. Qualified applicants must possess a valid driver license and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening. Hourly rate is $12.50-14/hr.
