The Frankfort Park District occasionally has openings for part-time/seasonal staff. These positions may include early childhood staff, after-school program staff, maintenance staff, and building supervisory staff. Any current positions that are available are posted below.

Seasonal Maintenance Position – 2024

The Frankfort Park District is currently accepting applications for Park Maintenance Workers. Hours are, 7:00 am-3:30 pm, days can vary and can include weekend or occasional evening hours for events. Positions requires physical labor and work is primarily done outdoors. Position is responsible for general park and facility maintenance includes but not limited to weeding, weed whipping, maintains outdoor grounds and cleaning bathroom facilities. Must be willing to work in various weather conditions and able to do heavy lifting. Qualified applicants must possess a valid driver license and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening. Hourly rate is $14-15/hr. Position will work 32-40 hours per week and will run through late fall and/or end of summer.

Splash Park Concession Stand Attendant

The Frankfort Park District is currently accepting applications for part-time Splash Park concession stand attendants.  Must be 18 years of age or older. The hours are Monday through Friday from 9:45 am – 4:15 pm, Saturday through Sunday from 9:45 am – 3:15 pm, with a possibility of working Splash Park rentals from 4:15 – 6:45 pm Monday thru Friday or 3:15 – 5:45 pm on Saturday and Sundays. Splash Park is outside, hours are weather-dependent. Splash Park opens on May 28 and closes on August 30. The individual must have some knowledge and a willingness to learn food prep, sanitation, and hygiene, the ability to accurately handle money, as well as perform 1-2 chemical tests of the water daily. Successful candidates must have excellent customer service skills, including professional appearance, and be able to effectively meet and work directly with the public. Applicant must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, work both inside and outside during the summer, follow directions, and keep the concession area neat and stocked. Applicants must be at least 18 years & older. The hourly rate is $15/hr. The position will work up to 30 hours per week, including weekdays and weekends.
