The Frankfort Park District occasionally has openings for part-time/seasonal staff. These positions may include early childhood staff, after-school program staff, maintenance staff, and building supervisory staff. Any current positions that are available are posted below.

Day Camp Counselor (Seasonal)

The Frankfort Park District is looking for enthusiastic and responsible Day Camp Counselors for full-time and part-time roles. In this position, you will organize, implement, and supervise a comprehensive program for campers of various ages. You will work independently to create age-appropriate activities and events, ensuring a safe, fun, and engaging environment. The pay rate is $15 per hour.
Camp Details:

  • Full Day Camp: June 9 – August 1 | 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM (option for before and after care)
  • Half Day Camp: June 9 – August 1 | 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 18 years of age. The qualified individual must be able to communicate clearly and effectively. Must enjoy working with children of various ages that range from 5-12 years old. An ability to work both independently and with a team while prioritizing tasks, staying organized, and implementing a variety of age-appropriate events for day camp participants. Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification required. Attend training sessions and meetings held prior to the camp start date to ensure counselors are well-prepared for their roles. Please note that due to the camp’s commitments and scheduling requirements, vacations will not be permitted. However, approved days off may be granted at the discretion of camp supervisors.

Seasonal Park Maintenance Position – 2025

The Frankfort Park District is currently accepting applications for Park Maintenance Workers. Hours are, 7:00 am-3:30 pm, days can vary and can include weekend or occasional evening hours for events. Positions requires physical labor and work is primarily done outdoors. Position is responsible for general park and facility maintenance includes but not limited to weeding, weed whipping, maintains outdoor grounds and cleaning bathroom facilities. Must be willing to work in various weather conditions and able to do heavy lifting. Qualified applicants must possess a valid driver license and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening. Hourly rate is $15-17/hr. Position will work 32-40 hours per week. Positions are open for starting in Spring and Summer and run through late fall. Rotating weekends required and work special events at night or on holidays.
