Prairie Care Staff (Before & After School Care)
The Frankfort Park District is seeking part-time staff for the Prairie Care After School Program 2-3 days per week. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have an interest in working with children ages 5-11. Afternoon Prairie Care hours are 2:30-6:30 pm. Hourly rate is $15 per hour.

Parks Maintenance Worker II/Mechanic
The Frankfort Park District is seeking a skilled individual for the Parks Maintenance Worker II/Mechanic position. This is a skilled position which requires technical knowledge, specialized skill set, and previous experience in fleet maintenance. This position performs preventative and routine maintenance on all district fleet and equipment. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds.
The starting pay rate is $21.00 per hour, with the potential to earn up to $28 per hour, based on qualifications, certifications, and experience. Employment is a full-time non-exempt position with benefits including Illinois Municipal Retirement Pension, Health Insurance, and paid time off.
Hours: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm Monday through Friday and some weekend shifts as needed.

Seasonal Park Maintenance Position – 2025
Currently, all Seasonal Park Maintenance positions have been filled. Applications can still be submitted and will be reviewed as needed.
The Frankfort Park District is currently accepting applications for Park Maintenance Workers. Hours are, 7:00 am-3:30 pm, days can vary and can include weekend or occasional evening hours for events. Positions requires physical labor and work is primarily done outdoors. Position is responsible for general park and facility maintenance includes but not limited to weeding, weed whipping, maintains outdoor grounds and cleaning bathroom facilities. Must be willing to work in various weather conditions and able to do heavy lifting. Qualified applicants must possess a valid driver license and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening. Hourly rate is $15-17/hr. Position will work 32-40 hours per week. Positions are open for starting in Spring and Summer and run through late fall. Rotating weekends required and work special events at night or on holidays.
