On Friday, June 26th the State provided further updates for Restore Illinois Phase 4.
Playground equipment can be open, use is limited to 50 people and individuals must follow social distancing guidelines as well as all other applicable DCEO and Illinois Department of Public Health guidance. The
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) states that outdoor areas do not require disinfection. The playground equipment will not be cleaned. Users are encouraged to use hand sanitizer following use and users need to wear a mask.
The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) released guidelines for the reopening of pools and splash pads to reopen. Splash pads can reopen with 50% capacity.
Park District staff are developing a plan and the splash pad a Commissioner Park will open. Please check back for updates.
