Movies on the Green

Grab a blanket or chair and head out to Breidert Green for a memorable evening of cinema under the stars.  Movies on the Green will be featuring movies for the entire family to enjoy.

Frankfort Community Garage Sale

The Frankfort Park District is sponsoring a community wide garage sale on Saturday, June 8.  Each registered participant’s address will be included on a list of all participating homes.  This list will be available at the park office, website and the village hall the week before the sale.  The park district will advertise the sale in local newspapers, on-line sites and A-frame signs throughout the community.  Each participating home will receive a packet including a garage sale sign, balloons, home list, map of Frankfort and garage sale selling tips.

Bike & Play Day

Join the Frankfort Park District in the National Get Outdoors Day on Saturday, June 8th.  Families will enjoy playtime at three different parks and a fun family bike ride down the Old Plank Trail path.  Park locations include Main Park, Michele Bingham Park and Kohlhagen Park.  Family friendly activities throughout out the day will include kickball, soccer, field & carnival games, playground time, inflatable and ice cream at the final location (Kohlagen Park).  Riders are encouraged to wear helmets and bring water for the trip.

Adopt a Pet Day

Looking for a new cute and furry friend?  Join the Frankfort Park District, Lulu’s Locker Recuse, Dog House Humane Society and South Suburban Humane Society for a Pet Adoption Day at the Bark Park at Commissioners Park.  Please bring a pet toy or pet item to donate to the organizations.  The afternoon will be filled with games and activities for the entire family.

Daddy/Daughter Dance

“Party at the Beach”

Splish, Splash….It’s a Summertime Bash!  Join us for a special evening with your beach baby at our Daddy / Daughter Dance.  Light refreshments including an ice cream sundae bar will be served along with entertainment courtesy of a live DJ.  To capture your evening together, a professional photographer will be available to take formal pictures at an additional charge.  Space is limited, please register early.  Pre-registration is required.  NO TICKETS will be sold at the door.

Looking for a relaxing adult evening out without the kids?  Then head to Breidert Green for a “Date Night” movie under the stars.  Babysitting will be available at the Founders Community Center for a fee.

Beer Tasting

Join the Frankfort Park District for the first time ever – Beer Tasting event.  We invite you to experience a sampling of various beers and beer favorite foods.   No registration will be taken at the door.  Space is limited, please register early.  Pre-registration is required.  The fee includes beer tasting, food and a souvenir beer glass.

Adult Bike Scavenger Hunt

The hunt is on!  Get your team of four together and your bicycles to compete in an adult-only bike scavenger hunt.  Each team will need to bring a digital camera and shopping bag.  The hunt will begin at Indian Boundary Park and continue on the Old Plank Trail through downtown Frankfort’s Historical District.  The final destination will be Main Park where a catered dinner and drinks will be served.  Prizes will be awarded to the first place team.  Riders are encouraged to wear helmets and bring water for the trip.  Come join us for a fun adult evening.

Ladies “Bowling” Night Out

4th Annual Back to School Bash 

Come spend the last few nights of summer with the Frankfort Park District at our 4th Annual Back to School Bash.  The evening will consist of: field and carnival games, music, craft area, bean bag games, giant inflatable, touch-a-truck, Little Obie Train, concessions, plus playtime at Fort Frankfort and in the Splash Park.  Get ready for school the Frankfort Way!
