Frank  Lloyd Wright’s  Bradley House
Kankakee, IL

Explore the history of this house and its owners, life in turn- of- the- century Kankakee, and the birth of Frank Lloyd Wright’s first Prairie Style design. This home is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and in the Riverview Historic District. You’ll want to come aboard for a short cruise down the Kankakee River on our electric boat tour. River tour times will alternate with house tours. Lunch will be held in downtown Kankakee at Rigo’s Place with delicious soup, salad and sandwich options.

31st Annual Scarecrow Fest
St. Charles, IL

Join generations of visitors who flock to the annual St. Charles Scarecrow Fest every year! For over 30 years, this award-winning festival has brought heartwarming memories to both children and adults, and is a tradition for thousands of families across the Midwest.  The heart and soul of the festival is the Scarecrow Contest, which boasts 100+ hand-crafted scarecrows. Visitors view and vote for their favorite in each of five categories.  Enjoy live entertainment, a huge arts and crafts show, a trolley ride – those are just a few highlights! You can even make your own scarecrow to take home. Plus, enjoy plenty of delicious food.

Medium At The Mansion
Joliet, IL

We will travel to the Henry Jacob Museum in Joliet for a truly unique lunch and performance. Our day will begin with a delicious luncheon of Cordon Bleu complete with potato and vegetable and served with a garden salad, warm rolls and butter, dessert and coffee or tea. Following lunch, one of the premier mediums in our area, Michael Gourley, will explain how he uses his gifts to deliver messages from loved ones in spirit and will delivery messages that come through for those in attendance. Perhaps there will be a message for you!

Royal Oak Farm Orchard
Harvard, IL

We will travel to a wonderful apple orchard to enjoy an antique tractor drawn wagon tour of the orchard that includes a history of the orchard and also learn about the 29 varieties of apples growing at the orchard. The tour will last about 30-45 minutes as it winds through the North and South Orchards. At the conclusion of the tour, we will enjoy a full entrée lunch including soup and dessert at their Country Restaurant. Following lunch, there will be time for you to shop at the Royal Oak Farm’s Country Store, Bakery and Sweet Shop.

Illumination – Morton Arboretum
Lisle, IL

Illumination will engage your senses with dazzling projections, trees that respond to your touch and sound, and vivid, electric colors throughout.  Declared a “must see” in the Chicago Tribune, this annual display returns this year with even more lights, sights and sounds that will transform a Chicago-area wintertime walk in the woods into a colorful, inspiring experience like no other.  Illumination is an outdoor walking experience on a one-mile, gently rolling, paved path. Please remember to dress for the weather.

Purdue University Christmas Show

We will visit Purdue University once again this year for one of the most spirit lifting holiday musicals you’ll ever experience. Listen to the sounds of the Purdue Musical Organization ring throughout the Elliott Hall of Music. Feel the joy of the season with Christmas songs, traditions and festivities that will make you come back year after year. Afterward, we will have lunch at Grindstone Charley’s Restaurant & Pub. Chicago Christmas Lights Tour

We will travel to Downtown Chicago to see the beautiful Christmas lights displays. Our first stop will be at the Planetarium Overlook for a panoramic view of the city.  We will then travel along Lake Shore Drive to Lincoln Park, North Michigan Avenue, and stop for one hour at Millennium Park to view the city Christmas tree, the skating rink and the Bean. From there, we will take a Loop Tour with a final 1 ½ hour stop at the German Christkindlmarket at the Daley Plaza.  We will also be close in proximity to Macy’s (Marshall Field’s) Flagship State Street store.
